Online Corrections or Changes on Aadhaar Card

It is very easy to make the corrections or changes online using the following simple steps.

• You need to log in to the Aadhaar card Online Self Service Update Portal using the link https://portal.uidai.gov.in/updatePortal/login.action.
• You should use your Aadhaar card number to login to the website.
• Enter the captcha and click on Send OTP.
• An OTP will be sent on your registered mobile number. Enter it and you will be directed to a page called ‘Data Update Request’.
• Here, you will be asked to indicate the incorrect data and the way you wish to update it. Make sure the details entered are correct, as they will be reflected on your Aadhaar card. Enter all the contact and personal details accurately.
• In the next section ‘Documents Required’, you will need to upload the official copies of the documents that prove the changes or corrections.
• In the next section ‘BPO Service Provider Selection’, choose the BPO Service Provider, that is, Aegis or Karvy. Click on Submit.
• After the request is successfully submitted, you can download the update verification copy.
