How to Link Aadhaar Card with State Bank of India Account

If you have an account with State Bank of India, you can link your Aadhaar card with the account. This will help you get subsidy under various government schemes like the LPG Subsidy scheme. State Bank of India is one of the largest banks in India. It has many branches all over the county and linking Aadhaar card with State Bank of India is very easy. If you have Internet banking activated on for your SBI bank account, you can complete the linking process online.

Linking Aadhaar Card with State Bank of India Account Online

  • Internet banking users need to log into the www.onlinesbi.com.
  • Now, click on the “Link your Aadhaar number” under “My Accounts”.
  • This link will direct you to a screen where you need to select your Account number, enter the Aadhaar number, and click on Submit.
  • The last two-digits of the registered mobile number will be displayed and it is on this number you will get the status of your Aadhaar number as a message.

Linking Aadhaar Card with State Bank of India Account with ATM Machine

  • You can use your ATM card and visit any SBI ATM machine to link your Aadhaar card with the account.
  • When you swipe your ATM card and enter your PIN, the menu screen will open.
  • Select Service – Registration from the menu and here select Aadhaar Registration.
  • Now, select the Account Type (Savings/Checking) -Enter Aadhaar Number. Re-enter the same number for confirmation.

Linking Aadhaar Card with State Bank of India Account with SMS

  • Customers who have registered their mobile number with the bank account can avail this service.
  • You need to send an SMS to 567676 in the following format:
  • UID(space)Aadhaar number(space)Account number
  • You will receive a confirmation SMS from the bank regarding the linking or seeding request
  • The Aadhaar number will be verified with the UIDAI by the bank. In case it fails verification, you will be sent an SMS to visit SBI Branch along with your Aadhaar number or e-Aadhaar.

Linking Aadhaar Card with State Bank of India Account Offline

  • You need to visit the SBI branch with a copy of your Aadhaar number or e-Aadhaar.
  • Submit a Letter of Request along with the Xerox copy of your Aadhaar letter at the branch.
  • Once the verification is complete, you will get a confirmation SMS from the bank on your registered mobile number regarding the status of your linking or seeding of Aadhaar card.
