How can Resident download e-Aadhaar?

It is very easy to download e-Aadhaar on any smartphone with a mobile number linked to Aadhaar.

Electronic copy of your Aadhaar is available in a password protected PDF file.

There are three ways with which one can download e-Aadhaar:

Using Aadhaar number or Enrolment ID (EID) or Virtual ID (VID)


With the Aadhaar number or Enrolment ID (EID) or Virtual ID (VID) one can download the electronic copy of your Aadhaar.

Enter the 12 digit aadhaar number or  14 digit ENO and 14 digit date-time stamp printed on the enrolment slip or 16 digit virtual id and captcha verification and click on Send OTP.




You receive 6 digit OTP on your registered mobile number with aadhaar.



Enter the OTP and click on Verify and Download.

The e aadhaar is password protected. The password is first 4 letters of your name in capital letters and year of birth.

One can download e-aadhaar using mAadhaar mobile Application.

You need to download mAadhaar mobile application from Play Store and enter the registered mobile number on the Aadhaar card. You will receive a TOTP which needs to be entered in order to download e-Aadhaar.

Is e-Aadhaar Equally Valid like Physical Copy of Aadhaar?

In this digital age, one has to move on to digital versions of official documents.

Similarly, Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has introduced e-Aadhaar facility for citizens so that they can easily carry their Aadhaar card everywhere without worrying about the card getting lost.

Is e-Aadhaar Equally Valid Like Its Physical Copy?


According to the Aadhaar Act, the digital copy, i.e. e-Aadhaar is equally valid like the physical copy of Aadhaar for all purposes. You can read the official circular at:

Application by Post for Resident Data Update/Correction


You may find there are some corrections or updates required in your Aadhaar card. In order to make these changes you can send a request by post to the UDAI. Let us have a look at the application by post for resident data update/correction.

Updating or Correcting Data in Aadhaar Card by Post


With the help of an application, you can change or correct the following details in your Aadhaar card by post.

  • Name
  • Date of birth
  • Address
  • Gender
  • Mobile number

You can submit your application online and send the supporting documents using the post. Or just fill the hard copy of the application for Aadhaar Update Form and send it along with the valid document copies to UIDAI.


Process for Update or Correction

  • On the Home Page look for Aadhaar Update
  • In the list, click on Update Request by Post
  • Fill in the details and complete the Aadhaar Data Update/ Correction Form. 
  • As per the field to be updated, attach the valid document copies that are self-attested. 
  • For Name correction/update use Proof of Identitiy (PoI) Documents that contain your name and photograph for update or correction.
  • For Date of Birth correction place copies of Proof of Date of Birth (DoB) documents.
  • For Address Corrections/Change place Proof of Address (PoA) documents that contain your Name and Address.


You can fill the form in English or your local language. Make sure all the information is correct and error-free. Write your Aadhaar number on each copy of the supporting documents.

Send the Aadhaar Update/correction form along with the self-attested documents to the address given in Annexure II.

Post your application according to your language of application and wait for them to send you an intimation of application received. Within a month or so your details on Aadhaar card will be changed by sending an application by post.

Follow the simple steps below to link your Aadhaar number to your Canara bank number.

  • You need to keep your passbook, Aadhaar card number as well as registered mobile number ready.
  • You need to visit the official link https://canarabank.net.in/aadhaarseeding/aadhaarSeedingVerifyStatus.aspx to link Aadhaar with Canara bank.
  • Enter the 13 digit account number as well as customer ID in the given boxes. You will find all the details on your Canara bank passbook.
  • Enter the Security Verification number in the box given and click on Proceed.
  • You will receive an one time password on your registered mobile number that needs to be entered on the screen. Click on Submit.
  • If your accounts are not seeded, then you need to click on Link Aadhaar.
  • Enter the 12 digit Aadhaar number in the given space and click Submit.

Aadhaar Linking through SBI Internet Bank Portal

 


  • Internet banking customers can login to their online SBI account and click on “Link your Aadhaar number”. This link can be found under “My Accounts” on the left hand side panel across the screen.
  • Once you click this link, you will be directed to a screen where you have to enter the Account number, enter the Aadhaar number, and click on Submit.
  • You will receive the status of your mapping on the registered mobile number.

Aadhaar Card Linking Using ATM


  • Visit any SBI ATM and swipe your ATM card.
  • Enter your PIN and select Service – Registrations.
  • Here, select Aadhaar Registration and select the Account type.
  • Enter your Aadhaar number and re-enter the same number.

Aadhaar Card Linking Using SMS


  • When your mobile number is registered with the bank, you can link your Aadhaar card using SMS.
  • Send an SMS to 567676  in the following format UID(space)Aadhaar number(space)Account number.
  • If the mobile number is not registered or Aadhaar is linked to the Account, then you will get an SMS reply.
  • If the mobile number is registered, then you will get an SMS confirmation of the request.
  • The Aadhaar number will be verified by the bank and once it is confirmed it will be updated on your account.

Aadhaar Linking Through Branch


  • Any customer can visit his bank branch with a copy of Aadhaar card or e-Aadhaar.
  • You need to submit a Letter of Request along with the Xerox copy of Aadhaar letter.
  • After verification, the linking will be completed. You will get an SMS of confirmation regarding the status of seeding.
