Application by Post for Resident Data Update/Correction
You may find there are some corrections or updates required in your Aadhaar card. In order to make these changes you can send a request by post to the UDAI. Let us have a look at the application by post for resident data update/correction.
With the help of an application, you can change or correct the following details in your Aadhaar card by post.

You can submit your application online and send the supporting documents using the post. Or just fill the hard copy of the application for Aadhaar Update Form and send it along with the valid document copies to UIDAI.
Process for Update or Correction
You can fill the form in English or your local language. Make sure all the information is correct and error-free. Write your Aadhaar number on each copy of the supporting documents.
Send the Aadhaar Update/correction form along with the self-attested documents to the address given in Annexure II.

Post your application according to your language of application and wait for them to send you an intimation of application received. Within a month or so your details on Aadhaar card will be changed by sending an application by post.

Updating or Correcting Data in Aadhaar Card by Post
With the help of an application, you can change or correct the following details in your Aadhaar card by post.

- Date of birth
- Address
- Gender
- Mobile number
You can submit your application online and send the supporting documents using the post. Or just fill the hard copy of the application for Aadhaar Update Form and send it along with the valid document copies to UIDAI.
Process for Update or Correction
- You need to visit the official UIDAI website https://uidai.gov.in/.
- On the Home Page look for Aadhaar Update
- In the list, click on Update Request by Post
- A new window will open containing the Update Request Form. The link for the update request form is https://uidai.gov.in/images/UpdateRequestFormV2.pdf.
- Fill in the details and complete the Aadhaar Data Update/ Correction Form.
- As per the field to be updated, attach the valid document copies that are self-attested.
- For Name correction/update use Proof of Identitiy (PoI) Documents that contain your name and photograph for update or correction.
- For Date of Birth correction place copies of Proof of Date of Birth (DoB) documents.
- For Address Corrections/Change place Proof of Address (PoA) documents that contain your Name and Address.
You can fill the form in English or your local language. Make sure all the information is correct and error-free. Write your Aadhaar number on each copy of the supporting documents.
Send the Aadhaar Update/correction form along with the self-attested documents to the address given in Annexure II.

Post your application according to your language of application and wait for them to send you an intimation of application received. Within a month or so your details on Aadhaar card will be changed by sending an application by post.
