Aadhaar Card for NRI?
NRI’s or Non-Resident Indians can now apply for Aadhaar card. According to the Aadhaar Act, 2016, an NRI who resides in India for a period of 182 days or more in 12 months can immediately precede the date of application for enrolment and has an Indian address can apply for a Aadhaar card.
Get and Appointment
An NRI can get an appointment online and offline. You need to visit the Aadhaar portal and apply for appointment or visit the nearest Aadhaar card center and fix an appointment.
Enrollment at the Center
Go to the center at the fixed time with your document copies such as resident proof, birth certificate, and PAN card as well as the Aadhaar card application form.
Provide your biometric details such as fingerprints and iris scans. The official will give you an acknowledgment slip with Enrolment ID that can be used for tracking the status of the Aadhaar card.
