How to Add Email ID to Aadhaar Card?

Once you get your Aadhaar card, it is very easy to update your details as and when required. This can be achieved if you have registered your mobile number during registration at Permanent Enrolment Center. If you have not registered your mobile number, then you need to go to Permanent Enrolment Center to register.


Add Email ID Online


  • If your mobile number is linked with your Aadhaar card, then you need to login into the Aadhaar portal (https://resident.uidai.gov.in/). Click on ‘Update Request’ under ‘Aadhaar Update’ section.
  • Read the instructions and ‘Proceed’. 
  • Enter your Aadhaar Card details and click on ‘Text Verification’.
  • Click on ‘Send OTP’ and then check on ‘Email ID’ field and click ‘Submit’.
  • Update your information, scan and update your supporting documents, if required.
  • Click Submit and a request number will be generated.
  • Track your request using this number.

All policyholders are required to link their Aadhaar and PAN details with their insurance policies. The online process to link Aadhaar card number with LIC policy includes:


1.Keep your Aadhaar card and PAN card details as well as policy details handy.


2.Visit the LIC website and click on ‘Link Aadhaar and PAN to policy’.


3.Click on ‘Proceed’ and fill the information related to Aadhaar and PAN, email, as well as mobile number. 


4.You will get the message of successful registration as well as an SMS or email confirmation. The information will be updated within a few days.


If you wish you can go to your agent and ask for a form or download the form from LIC website. Fill in the form andprovide the required self-attested photocopies of documents to be submitted. The LIC branch will take your application and process your request.
